Notes: The fourth military grade mobile suit produced by Alcyone Technology. The Knightmare is introduced two years prior to World War III as the mainstay mobile suit of the League of European Nations, the LEN. Of the WWIII era mobile suits the Knightmare is the fastest out of all of them due to is R1 roller system that allows it to glide over roadways and plains but is impossible to use in sandy or dense wooded areas. Unfortuneatly the majority of the war happens in the African deserts and Asian jungle, resulting in limited use of the knightmare’s speed. Its other innovation is its slash harkens designed by Berlin International. These oversized super robot like weapons are super hardened and sharpened to be able to cut though almost any armor at the time. Originally they were designed for anti-tank combat as a reusable weapon but took on a new role in anti-mobile suit combat.
During World War III the LEN somehow found itself on the opposing end of the Northern Union which was later discovered to be from bad company relations between Berlin International and GA3 (General Automakers of America Alliance) who had considerable pulling power in the Northern Union. In Europe’s highly civilized cities on the roadways Knightmare teams were able to outflank and avoid the NU’s El Diablo mobile suits causing the largest loss of El Diablos anywhere. In the African desert however the Knightmare’s R1 system was unfunctional in the sand and limited its use to the few city roads and highways. The same was for the Asian campaigns as thick jungle hampered all movement for both sides and the thick armored El Diablos were able to easily win in the chaotic close head on fights.
After the War most Knightmare mobile suits were retired to make room for the LEN’s new line of mobile suits which used a much improved version of the R1 roller system.

The Knightmare's a mobile suit now? =p Anyway, the design looks very grunty. Nice setup of the landspinners too. Good thing they have armor now. ^^
